Welcome to
Christchurch District Scouts website
For over a century, Christchurch Scouts has been helping young people discover adventure, build confidence and develop skills for life.
We support over 4–25 year olds across Christchurch and the surrounding BH23 area through our network of local Scout Groups. Whether it’s a Squirrel Scout taking their first steps into Scouting, a Cub heading off on their first camp, or an Explorer Scout completing a Duke of Edinburgh expedition, every young person is given the opportunity to grow, learn and thrive.
Our programme is built around adventure. From camping, hiking, climbing, sailing and kayaking to archery, air rifle shooting, community projects and international experiences, there’s always something exciting around the corner. Along the way, young people develop resilience, teamwork, leadership and practical life skills that stay with them long after they’ve left Scouting.
Christchurch Scouts is made up of eight local Groups serving our communities, including both Sea Scouts and Air Scouts, providing unique opportunities for young people to explore their interests and challenge themselves in new ways.
Behind every adventure is a team of dedicated volunteers who give their time to create safe, inclusive and memorable experiences. Whether you’re interested in volunteering regularly, helping occasionally, or supporting us through Scout Active Support, there’s a place for everyone in our Scouting family.
