Adult Opportunities
Adults can come join the adventure by Getting Involved! In Christchurch District, our adults are 18-80+ years old.
If you would like to have fun, take part in outdoor (and indoor) adventures, learn new skills and give young people the opportunity of a lifetime – then why not think about becoming a volunteer for Scouting?
From an hour a month to several hours a week, from a one-off task or project to a regular commitment, is there something for you in Christchurch District Scouts to let you Get involved? Why not give it a go?
Could this be you? CONTACT US to have a chat about it.
We take your privacy seriously. As we were unable to complete the necessary changes in time for the new GDPR law, we have disabled our online enquiry form.
Until this is resolved, please email getinvolved@christchurchscouts.org.uk and we will contact you.

Current opportunities
Have a look below at what opportunities we have at the moment.
Love all things wet? Can you swim, sail or row? Love it dryer? Can you hike, camp, climb? Would you like to? Why not join one of our Explorer Scout Units in their leadership team? Explorer scouts are 14-18 years old and rewarding to share adventures with. The teams would like to expand their uniformed leaders and increase their support with other adults doing organising, keeping records, planning or any other skills people could offer.
Could you build a den? Have you ever raced camels from Arabia? A person with an adventurous spirit could come have fun with our cubs at several of our teams. We have established teams already but they need more hands to make it all bigger, better, faster and yes, more fun.
Or how about the start of the scouting adventure and work with beavers who are 6-8 years old. Their emphasis is fun and friends and they enjoy outdoors and indoors. There are opportunities in Christchurch centre and Bransgore.
Would you rather work behind the scenes? Do you have an interest in figures as we need a book-keeper and a treasurer. Is fund-raising your thing as we have a number of projects, small and large that need support. Or perhaps you can offer general help with house-keeping, maintenance or shopping. We can always make use of nearly every skill and another pair of hands make things social and more fun.
